Board responsibilities include:

• Attend meetings and events, be on time and prepared
• Complete work assignments
• Recruit new members and sponsors/corporate members
• Identify current changes in industry trends that CCMF can affect
• Be regional leaders
• Do a project or program annually
• Support MITs (Managers in Transition)
• Support new managers in your region
• Write articles
• Represent CCMF to other organizations
• Annual contribution should exceed dues by $300-500 annually (optional for Assistants City Managers on Board)
• Assistants should reach out to assistants and their organizations
• Assistants should provide perspective and candor

When a vacancy on the Board occurs, an announcement shall run in the CCMF weekly e-news for a minimum of four weeks indicating that those CCMF members interested in the Board position should submit a Letter of Interest and Resume to the Executive Director. At the conclusion of the four week process, the Executive Director shall forward the names of those who have indicated an interest in the Board position to the CCMF Board Nominating Committee, consisting of the CCMF Board President, the CCMF Vice President, and the CCMF Executive Director.

The committee shall review the names and submit a recommendation to the the CCMF Board at the next CCMF Board meeting. The Board shall ratify the Nominations Committee recommendation. Should the Board not ratify the recommendation, the selection process, as indicated above, shall be repeated.
