This year, at the League of California Cities City Managers Department Meeting, CCMF President Wade McKinney will be speaking on a panel titled “Executive Strategies for Internet Communications Success.”

Being held Thursday, January 29, at 2:00pm, the panel will focus on what cities can do to fill the communication void by local press outlets through the use of Internet technology. Online venues allow cities to tell their own story in a cost-effective manner.

Other speakers on the panel include Brian Lewton (State Board President, Municipal Information Systems Association of California), Tracy Robinson (Administrative Services Director, Lafayette), Ryder Smith, President, Tripepi Smith & Associates.

Wade McKinney has worked in public service for 35 years. In that time, he has seen the rising influence of online venues and managed this powerful transition to online communications.
