CCMF Membership

The California City Management Foundation promotes and encourages excellence in city management by providing training, support and guidance for the lifelong learning and professional development of City Managers throughout the state. To this end, the California City Management Foundation provides two categories of membership: Individual and Corporate/Private Sector.

Individual Membership

Individual membership is available to all California City Managers, current and retired. Senior assistants who have been designated by their City Manager to be qualified for membership in the City Managers department for the League of California Cities are also eligible for an Individual Membership.

Individual membership benefits include:

  • Unlimited access to the members-only section of the CCMF website which includes the City Manager Model Employment Agreement, various samples of City Manager evaluations and a library of training materials focused on ethical standards and professional development for all city managers.
  • Invitations to the annual member appreciation dinner.
  • The CCMF weekly electronic newsletter, full of informative articles about, and of interest to, city managers.
  • Access to, and inclusion in, the CCMF peer network of city managers. Our searchable database lists hundreds of city managers available to give advice and support.
  • Assistance for city managers undergoing transitional periods in their careers, including legal advice, professional counseling, and peer support.
  • A 50% discount to the ever-popular CCMF Golf Tournament, a yearly opportunity to connect with fellow city managers.

Annual individual membership fee is $400.

Retired City Managers may purchase an individual membership for $150.

All memberships are based on a fiscal year of July 1 through June 30.

Corporate/Private Sector Membership Eligibility

All corporate/private sector organizations who have an interest in supporting City Managers and the profession are eligible for membership.

Benefits for corporate/private sector membership include:

  • Priority access to the member’s section of the CCMF website which includes the City Manager Model Employment Agreement, various samples of City Manager evaluations and a library of training materials focused on ethical standards and professional development for all City Managers.
  • Invitations to member activities and events such as the inspirational League’s City Manager’s Department annual conference.
  • The CCMF weekly electronic newsletter, full of informative articles about, and of interest to, City Managers.
  • Promotion of corporate logo and contact information on the CCMF website.

Annual corporate/private sector membership fee starts at $1000.

All memberships are based on a fiscal year of July 1 through June 30.
