CCMF Strategic Planning/Board Meeting – September 2013

On September 18, 2013, CCMF will host an all day meeting in Sacramento. The first half of the day will consist of the organization’s annual strategic planning session. After a break for lunch, the regular board meeting will commence.

The 2013 New and FutureCity Manager Seminar

The 2013 New and Future City Manager Seminar will take place from November 8th through the 10th at a venue in Northern California (specific location information TBD).

Mark you calendars. This Seminar is a longstanding annual tradition with CCMF geared to help those seeking to become city managers. You will learn keen insights from experienced city managers and hear legendary stories that will guide and inform your career choices. The city management profession is a challenging mix if fiscal management, politics, legal issues and public relations (to name a few).

This event is a rare opportunity for individuals beginning their careers in local government to trade ideas with seasoned veterans. We look forward to it all year.

CCMF will host a Board of Trustees meeting in Napa, CA, on the morning of April 5.

CCMF Golf Tournament – February 1, 2013

CCMF will be hosting its popular, annual golf tournament once again as part of the League of CA Cities City Managers Annual Department meeting in San Francisco on Friday, February 1st. This year’s tournament will be held at the always competitive Presidio Golf Course. If you’re interested in playing or have any questions, please call Napa City Manager Mike Parness at 707-257-9501 or e-mail him at Mparness@cityofnapa.org. It’s always a great tournament. If you’re a golfer, you won’t want to miss it.

CCMF Appreciation Dinner – January 31, 2013

The CCMF dinner, always a sumptuous affair, will be held this year at the prestigious City Club of San Francisco. It will, as usual, be on the Thursday evening of the League of CA Cities City Managers department annual conference (January 31, 2013). CCMF Members will be receiving invitations and details in the preceding weeks.
