The California City Management Foundation (CCMF), Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC) and Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) are combining once again to offer two (2) $1,500 scholarships for the 2018 ICMA Annual Conference.
This year’s scholarship will provide one (1) $1,500 award each to an MMASC and an MMANC member to attend the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Annual Conference, September 23-26, 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland. The $1,500 awards–jointly sponsored by CCMF, MMANC and MMASC–are for use toward travel, lodging and incidental expenses. ICMA-RC will cover the cost of conference registration to the two scholarship awardees.
The scholarship is for a first-time conference attendee who is:
- a graduate of MMANC or MMASC’s Credentialed Government Leader (CGL) program, and
- a member in good standing of MMANC or MMASC, and
- a member in good standing of ICMA.
- If the first-time attendee CGL graduate criteria cannot be met, then the scholarship could be provided to a CGL participant who can document that attendance at the conference will allow that individual to complete one (1) or more CGL courses.
All scholarship applicants must demonstrate how a scholarship to attend the ICMA Annual Conference would support their professional development goals (in 400 words or fewer). Please complete the application form no later than Friday, June 1. Scholarship recipients will be notified shortly after the deadline.
