CCMF / Rose Institute ReportIn January 2023, CCMF partnered with the Rose Institute at Claremont Mckenna College to begin developing a new report that will be relevant to city managers throughout the state. The report will be the first of its kind to provide a comprehensive overview of the city management profession in California. It will include details about average tenure, background and education to identify trends and help the city management community prepare and attract future leaders.

“CCMF’s 2021-23 strategic plan is forward-thinking, and a large part of it is focused on expanding research and data surrounding the profession,” said CCMF Executive Director Ken Pulskamp. “We are thrilled to collaborate with the Rose Institute on this initiative. Their team of municipal experts has ample experience conducting rigorous data analysis to produce robust reports that surface industry insights.”

Once complete, the report will be updated annually, serving as a valued resource for the local government community. In preparation for the report, we ask that CCMF members take three minutes to fill out this brief survey. Your responses will ensure that we collect accurate data and information to compile the report.

Thank you in advance for helping us create this new resource. Moreover, CCMF would like to thank the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority and Tripepi Smith for their sponsorship of the project.

We look forward to sharing the report with all members once complete. For now, please help us by filling out this survey.
