CCMF extends a heartfelt congratulations to Board of Trustees member Karen Pinkos on becoming the new President of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA)! She assumed the position during the 2018 ICMA Annual Conference.
“The story of local government is a story about making people’s lives better. I know where I came from and who I represent,” Karen stated during her acceptance speech. She will continue ICMA’s focus on diversity and inclusion into the coming year.
Karen, who is the Assistant City Manager of El Cerrito, takes her place in ICMA’s 100+ year history as its fourth female President.
