Jim LewisJames Lewis, City Manager of Pismo Beach

CCMF is the premier think and support group for City Management in California. CCMF has been instrumental in providing me cutting edge professional development, relevant networking opportunities, and support when I’ve needed it. Being a City Manager in California is rewarding but it is also hard and can be frustrating as well. I’m glad CCMF is here for me as I serve my city daily. CCMF ensures we are truly providing excellence in City Management.

Kim SummersKim Summers, City Manager of Murrieta

CCMF played an important role in keeping me up-to-date on issues as an Assistant City Manager and helped me prepare for the challenges of being a City Manager. As a new City Manager, the guidance I received helped me negotiate my City Manager contract and the First Time City Manager’s Conference was invaluable. One of the first things I do each Thursday morning is to read the City Manager related articles from the CCMF’s weekly eNews. I believe that the support and member benefits far exceed the low annual cost.

Christina Turner, City Manager of Morgan Hill

CCMF has helped me in my career journey as City Manager. I attended CCMF’s New & Future City Managers shortly after being appointed to the position. I like to describe the seminar as a bootcamp and I use the skills and tips learned in the class on a daily basis. It has been great to see my classmates promote to new positions after the class. I feel like I have a support group with caring individuals that I can turn to when needed. Through CCMF, I look forward to helping aspiring local government professionals.

The City Manager’s job is challenging enough – why do it without CCMF’s resources, support and network? From information on current management topics to resources to help navigate job transitions, CCMF is there. Best of all, the annual Member Appreciation dinner is always in a fabulous location and is a fun way to network with colleagues. As a retiree, CCMF is still important to keep me connected to the profession and my colleagues.
