The California City Management Foundation (CCMF) is excited to announce that its annual New & Future City Managers Seminar (NFCM)will take place from Nov. 5-7, 2025 at the Westin Pasadena. The application deadline is

 Friday, Aug. 15, 2025.

“The New & Future City Managers Seminar is one of the most anticipated events we host each year,” said Executive Director Ken Pulskamp. “It’s consistently a highlight for me personally, and I’m confident attendees will find it equally rewarding. In addition to gaining insights from experienced city managers, participants leave with a strong network that offers lasting support and camaraderie.”

The NFCM Seminar is a longstanding annual CCMF workshop, geared toward helping new city managers and those seeking to become city managers in navigating this high profile, demanding position. In this intensive multi-day workshop, senior city managers mentor younger city managers and aspiring city managers on topics such as fiscal management, politics, legal issues and public relations. Up to 25 applicants will spend their time together in close discussions, eating meals together and staying at the same hotel while learning keen insights from experienced city managers.

Visit CCMF’s New and Future City Managers page to view feedback from recent participants.
