CCMF Executive Director Ken Pulskamp has accepted an Interim City Manager position with the City of Palmdale as their current City Manager Dave Childs is set to retire in June. The position will last for approximately six months as the City searches for a new City Manager, and Pulskamp will still remain CCMF Executive Director.
“The City Management profession changes quickly,” stated Pulskamp. “Ultimately, the work in Palmdale will make me more effective in the work I do for CCMF. It’s going to be a pleasure serving there and helping the Council and community find someone to fill the permanent City Manager role.”
“By taking on this interim position, Ken will be back in the trenches once more, allowing him even greater insight into the kinds of challenges our members tackle on a day-by-day and week-by-week basis,” said CCMF President Wade McKinney. “I don’t anticipate Ken having any issues fulfilling his regular duties while assisting the City of Palmdale with their transition period.”
