CCMF President Wade McKinney and Vice President Ken Striplin

On April 4, 2018, CCMF made its annual advocacy trip to Sacramento. President Wade McKinney (Indian Wells), Vice President Ken Striplin (Santa Clarita), and Anthony Gonsalves spent the day in the state’s capitol discussing potential legislative impacts to the city management profession and deepening relationships with state legislators.

“More than just an annual tradition, this trip plays a significant role in informing state legislators who we are and what CCMF does,” said Wade. “We can have real conversations about how the state and its cities can work together to make real and effective changes happen at the local level.”

CCMF met with the following people while in Sacramento:

  • Michael Bolden, Assembly PERS Committee
  • Glenn Miles, Senate PERS Committee
  • Charles Wright, Senate Pro Tem’s Office
  • Anton Favorini-Csorba & Jimmy McDonald, Senate Governance & Finance Committee
  • Debbie Michel, Assembly Local Government Committee
