A Profile of the Profession: CCMF Collaborates with Claremont McKenna College’s Rose Institute of State and Local Government to Produce New Report

In January 2023, CCMF partnered with the Rose Institute at Claremont Mckenna College to begin developing a new report that will be relevant to city managers throughout the state. The report will be the first of its kind to provide a comprehensive overview of the city management profession in California.

The California City Management Foundation (CCMF) looks forward to hosting a panel discussion at the 2022 Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) Annual Conference in Rancho Mirage, CA. The session is called, “Vulnerable Leadership: Not an Oxymoron,” and it will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 10:30-11:45 a.m.

On September 8, 2022, the California City Management Foundation (CCMF) hosted a panel discussion at the 2022 League of California Cities Annual Conference in Long Beach. The session, “Defending Institutions: Promoting Civic Debate and Rejecting Personal Attacks” featured Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson and Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez.
